James, lots of money was flowing into the US from overseas. Aside from a rising stock market there was also a rising dollar so it was a double win for Europeans for example and any other country not pegged to the dollar.

Now the flow is reversing and has snowballed downwards, even with a decent US economy.

The trick is to lower rates keep dollar high and proppell real economic growth.

I think oil prices hold the key, a moderation in oil prices will have Europe, India and China humming and US exports growing.
