I did NOT like the photo opp today with Bush and Greenbald

Bush seemed patronizing, Green looked uncomfortable
afterwards, Bush emphasized "I am to do the people's business"
he implied a mandate to cut taxes

we have experienced a political tectonic shift in recent years
Democrats served as stewards to a great federal surplus
now Republican activists want to distribute it to the people
this rebelliousness acts in direct conflict with the Federal Reserve agenda

in the past, economic prosperity has come during Republican administrations
they have been less invasive to big business

now, tax burdens have risen even as the economy flourished
"tax creep" has gradually drawn income earners to higher brackets
Democrats did NOT rectify the problem
now a Republican wants to

gonna take months for Bush and Grannyface to come to terms
no rate cut in Dec
no rate cut in Jan
no rate cut until either financial panic, or Bush goes under Grinch's thumb

no sir, yes sir, whatever you say sir
you heard it here

WE HAVE BIG BIG TROUBLE WITH GREENJEANS AND THE FEDS
/ Jim

Jim Willie has made his point loud and clear.

It is time for other opinions. You said Greenspan will show Bush who is in charge. I accept that is likely true. How do YOU think he will do that?

I resent the fact that our financial well-being is determined by a curmudgeoned prune.

I made huge trades today to reduce my exposure. Greenspan bugs me. I know what the right thing for him to do is, and I feel that chance of him doing it is incredibly & unfortunately small.

Absurd.
