yeah, I knew it was rhetorical, but it was a floater -g-
Grantham did a study for a DOW 3600 scenario in 10 years, with assumptions just slightly below the historical averages: 12.6 PE, 5.2% profit margin, and 1.6% sales growth (actual sales growth over the past decade has been 1%). The like figures at the 1982 low were 8 PE, 3.5% profit, and 1% sales growth.

LOL, with the shit that's in there now a yeild like that would mean putting gold stocks back in when they start spitting out dividends.
