Rule FD doesn't seem to have slowed down some of the alleged analysts one bit. When they don't have information on which they can base a new advisory, they just make something up and go with it. Publish or perish is the rule, after all.

Dear techtonicbull: I SUSPECT that these new SEC rules hamper companies somewhat in their reponding to the public. I know SUNW isnt the only one in which the investors would like a few words of encouragement. JDN
