Slow grinding Bear - YEP! And your intent to sell the rally and "unload" some stocks is, IMHO, the same sentiment that is pervasive through the market - tech or non-tech stocks. I read some posts where the employment numbers were still tight and there was no problem, you know, strong job market and all that stuff. Well my company had an open house yesterday and I interviewed three candidates during my hour and a half tenure. All were from failed .coms, all had good Unix and net management experience. We may hire one of the three but the other two will go shopping for xmas gifts -not! I am long now in the 401k because of a STUPID mistake I made reading the charts, bummer. Now I too will have to "sell the rally" on the way up, that is if we go past that point again. gg C'mon OEX 734, just one more time! gg For the most part I have been in cash since Sept 5 with just a few forays in to see if we would break out, but the obvious is upon us. Big Al has accomplished single handed what no other power could - an NDX crash! Oh well, it might just be a test of the strength of the Internet technology. gg Sell some stuff for tax loss? Not. Was talking to Berney and his response was "you don't have any profits to write it off against"! Boy do I have a lot to carry forward. gg Actually my losses in my equity account pale by comparison to some of the folks I know and my big solace is that the 401 stuff is up 31% YTD, I thought I would post this now because tomorrow I suspect it will no longer be true.gg Well now I see that the trade deficit is a new record and MWD and GS say that they aren't gonna make any money either! Boy this is getting tough! Good luck Gersh, CU Paul K.
