Again, you are purveying inaccuracies. He put up over $600,000 of his own money. He was crucial to assembling the needed investors to complete the deal, mostly through contacts on the East Coast, and was therefore given an additional equity stake for facilitating the deal. There is no proof that he had any knowledge of tactics used by the city of Arlington in putting together land for the stadium, and it is common practice for the city to provide the facilities. As far as reneging goes, there is a disagreement. The partnership agreed to pay costs over and above a certain amount for the stadium, yes, but if it were not for the reckless activities of the city council, and consequent fines imposed, there would be nothing to pay. The partnership argues that it owes nothing because these were not legitimate costs. Actually, the story has been done to death. Get it right. As for the cocaine business, just because the man will not clarify whether or not he ever used cocaine does not give you the right to state as fact that he was a cokehead. I don't blame him for not saying anything. If he said he had ever done it, you would simply assert that he was not coming clean about the volume of use, so why bother?

DK, Clinton could have cleared things up by making the true statement that he did intend to, and did understand, that he was involved in a sexual act with Monica Lewinsky. He could have admitted that he swindled many people in the White Water affair. I think an admission of his involvement in the demise of Vince Foster would serve the nation well, but that is merely a personal opinion. Gore could have cleared things up by admitting that his chaperoned visit to Nam was clearly a photo op, and that he was never within miles of danger, and surrounded by crack troops to make sure he didn't stub his toe. He could have retracted his statement that he invented the internet. He could have admitted that the problem at the Love Canal, was old news by the time he got involved. I could go on ad infinitum, but that is enough. ~H~
