ok,ok, tigerdirect.com has dvd add-ons for $99.00. so big deal dan. put the damn thing on the workstation so you can watch movies(charlies angels is neat)when the boss is out. dell has made a price committment to p4 and rmbs rdram. much better deals than gateway. i know the next pc or work station i buy will be p4 and rdram. why buy obsolete tech?rocky

Many of these systems are purchased for students who use them in their dorm rooms (particularly higher end systems - the cost is justified as an educational expense). The system becomes their stereo and TV / Video player as well as schoolwork PC. Check out the number of quite expensive PC speakers being marketed. Students are blending their PC's with their stereos.
