Thanks earlie,

I really like the functionality of that tradebonds.com
site, especially the way you can shift through the zero's,
govt issues, corporates by rating and yield.

I've managed to stay out of several stocks that
sounded like reasonable stories, but their bonds were
selling at too large of a discount.

The bond guys are right just about every time -ng-

Here's some new soft data this morning

John

BTM-USBW's index of weekly chain store sales fell for a third consecutive week, down 0.6% in the week of Dec 16. Shopper traffic is said to be down 9% in the week as sales come in below target. The weakness is disturbing given the vast importance of holiday shopping for retailers. Redbook reports is month-to-date estimate in about an hour as its measure reflects a slightly stronger pace than Mitsubishi's. Both include only stores open for more than a year and provide a very rough indicator as to the merchandise component of retail sales.
