John, the legacy voice products at LU (now AV) once had decent margins. Additionally, they brought in decent service revenues (probably still do). The point is though, that AV products are struggling and there is no apparent strategy to meet the changing market.

I would focus on what LU is keeping, not what they are spinning off. If I was to park a couple of bucks in one or the other, it would be LU, not AV.

I concur with Jorj... AV's market is going away unless they put together a transition program. Service revenue will go away as carriers migrate to solutions that require less support.
