Stitch,

I do not think the economy can be healthy until the non performing loans are cleaned up. These bankers and lenders are human and will pull in their horns as long as their current non performing loan customers are expanding. I also expect to see the consumer start to save because of fear and this will slow spending. It may not happen today but until it does paper assets are at risk.
