Why do you say cutting taxes would cause a depression? Bush is a supply-sider, so he believes that cutting taxes would stimulate the economy. The plan is to eliminate estate taxes, eliminate the "marriage penalty" and cut marginal tax rates by 1%-2% over several years. Hardly radical, IMO.
