Greg I answered this challenge from Bruce Brown the other day. I need to find the post, revise it and add a little meat to it.

OK?

Greg,

With the Fed less than three hours away from making a move I doubt anyone is thinking much past three hours!

Sadly, I'm not getting much in the way of concrete responses, so anything will be appreciated

Well, Greg, I'm not in your league here but since you asked...

My feeling is that the next leg up will be built on cautious optimism. Fear will be balancing our greed emotion for quite a while to come. So valuation will be a consideration in every investment, unlike '99,

That said I can understand qcom, csco and orcl valuation and growth patterns but am having a harder time with the fiber and storage stocks. I want to move money there but still don't feel comfortable with the risk vs. reward. Maybe it's because I don't understand the technologies as well too. Basically, my fear is still greater than my greed on those sectors but my greed is huge right now with qcom - and my fear (long term anyhow) is non-existent.

Haven't heard much lately from pundits on old economy - new economy stuff eh? hmmmm. Rory
