Re: Cache problems

These problems in non-ECC cache systems are often the result of cosmic rays. The reason SUNW has been having these problems recently is that we are at the peak of the 11-year solar sunspot cycle which elevates ambient radiation effects. One of the clues is that systems located at higher altitudes seem more vulnerable (less atmosphere to provide protection). Of possible help: stack lead plates on top of and around the CPU. Try picking up a dozen Sears Diehards. May look silly but it can't hurt.
