CHINA NEWS . . .

(JUST A JOKE HOPEFULLY I DON'T OFFEND ANYONE)

Dec 19th, Just-ing Hope-ing for a Contract-ing City, China:

QCOM said it will sacrifice three goats, three cows, and three young CDMA Engineers in order to get approval from China's Ministry of Information. That confirms support of a deal between Qualcomm and China United Telecommunications Corp., or Unicom, which plans to develop a network that uses the Qualcomm technology known as CDMA, or code division multiple access. The network gives Qualcomm potential access to up to 70 million mobile users in China.

Irwin Jacobs, Qualcomm's chief executive officer, said he will do the ritual himself on a formal gathering in front of the chinese officals, according to Reuters. "With blood in our hands I will be more than optimistic," Mr. Jacobs told reporters at a telecommunications conference in Hong Kong.

Other reports hinted that Nokia is in search for ways of increasing the number of sacrifices they need to make to beat QCOM in their own game. All eyes are focused on how many EDGE/GPRS talents they are willing to let go.
