Brees, Bush had already admitted publicly he had a drinking problem, before the DUI flap arose. Describing the DUI wouldn't have had any more negative effect on his voting aged children than the admissions he'd already made.

Again, as voters, his children had a right to know about the DUI. Fact is, he didn't want the American public to know about it because he didn't want media investigators heading down the scandal trail. Why? It's my guess there's some other stuff in that background he's so shy talking about. And I figure he figures when it becomes known, it'll be easier to ride it out as president.

And I think you have to admit that there is a base of logic to my assumptions. Agree?

And would you further agree that Bush's defenders believe him to be more perfect than he actually is?
