>>>Keith and I direct our emotions at our accounts, ourselves<<<

If you don't change this, you will always lose. There is no room for emotions in the market. Save your emotions for your family or something worth being emotional over. The stock market is not one of these things.

Take advantage of the emotional traders out there.
Right now, this is what is being done to you, KG4, and anyone else blubbering over the fact that their portfolio is shrinking. They are getting the best of you. They know you are praying for the market to turn back up. So they head fake you and each time you let yourself get sucked into it.

Learn how the game is really played.
When have you ever seen a successful trader crying over what the market is doing.
The don't.
They don't whine because their stock just took a hit. They move on and try to be quicker and smarter next time.
Most of all they educate themselves and refuse to allow emotions to get involved with their trading. There is no place for it.

Cry babies will continue to be taken advantage of.
Act like you have a pair.
Separate your fear and emotions from your trading and investing.
