I just "leased" for tax purposes a server with an Alpha 533 CPU and motherboard...is this a 64 bit AMD chip?

No, Alpha is a Compaq chip (was DEC but became Compaq when Compaq bought DEC about 3 years ago).

AMD will not have 64 bit chips for at least another year. What you got could be a DEC Alpha chip.
