Could Omnia payoff come later???

I've gotten the impression from prior posts and the LR
articles that Omnia's Metro SONET gear had a ..."different"
(?) ... implementation that may have not proven palatable
to potential customers. Cyras, seems to be another attempt
to target the same niche, but with an implementation that
conforms better with what the customers are willing to
purchase. (the acquisition was "customer driven")

- Did Omnia's and Cyras' products target the same niche?
- Is Cyras' product a less disruptive version of Omnia's?
How do they differ?
- Could have the acquisition of Omnia occurred too soon,
such that current customers have passed on it, but that
it's possible that Omnia's product (now EdgeDirector) will
resurface at a later time?
- Or will K2 (Cyras) simply obviate the need for
EdgeDirector (Omnia)?

Wondering whether we'll ever see direct value out of the
Omnia purchase, or whether it will be completely supplanted
by K2.
