Alomex,re:"Short AMZN". I cannot agree with this. This
is one of the few 'NAME's left that WS can stuff to the
public.

Remember, it's YOUR money they are after (well, to be
honest, if I'm smart enough, I'll be after your money
also).

Avoid 'BIG NAME' to short.

Locate 'broken story' to short.

UPS warned already.

Wonder if the 'item shipped' has any relationship with
'delight-o-meter'.

Ordered three items from Amazon on Sunday night. I get an email message Monday 9:00am "first item shipped, others to follow". Monday 11:00am "second item shipped, others to follow". Monday 12:00am "third item shipped, order completed". Come wednesday, UPS will deliver three different packages sent by Amazon hours apart.

Short AMZN, go long on UPS....

This is exactly the problem Jeff Bezos was emphatic about during the last conference call that he said will not happen this year. At least, greatly reduced.

I ordered 27 things from AMZN in late November

After several items dribbled back in boxes of twos and threes, I sent the following email:

<<Folks, I don't need any of this stuff anytime soon. (Dec 15th would be fine). If you would like to just send what you can in a week or two, all at once, that would be fine. I appreciate that you are striving for excellence, but please don't lose your money doing a lot of individual shipments.>>

They wrote back...

<<Thanks for writing to Amazon.com with your concern.

When you choose the option to "wait until my entire order is ready before shipping," we make every effort to comply with your request. However, we have several distribution centers around the country, and not all of the items we offer are stocked at all of our distribution centers. This is particularly true of our toys, electronics and home improvement items.

In order to fill your order as quickly and efficiently as possible, we decided to split your order into multiple shipments so that we could take advantage of the items in stock at different distribution centers.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.>>

All in all, I received 26 of the 27 items in eight shipments, with the last shipped on 12.5.00. One video will be 4-6 weeks.
