Keith ---I agree with your thoughts on the trend's for 2001 . The way the economy is heading that is the only options that have any prospects for turning it around . In one sense I would really like for the economy to go into a bad recession ( purely emotional ) to show Greenspan that what he has done is way overdone . He has raise interest rates ( the old method of countering inflation ) , choke off money supply , put the financial markets way , way at risk trying to counter a .8% increase in year over year inflation .
Inflation this year is at 3.5 % rate which is the average for the last forty years but most importantly he has abandoned the use of productivity to counter balance inflation ( a big mistake ) . I owned a lot of paper now in the market but their was no real need to create the problems that have come about by fighting inflation this way. Sorry for the soapbox .
Hopefully the "Q" will have a banner year and some sense of logic will return to the markets

BEST WISHES
BILL
PS ---MERRY CHRISTMAS -Have really enjoyed you posts and insight this year ---Thanks
