Yeah, and AMD seems to be maintaining market share the old-fashioned way: dropping prices. Market share is good and all that, but if the only way you're maintaining the market share is by dropping prices, you're losing profits, plain and simple.

<Of course the wild card is what AMD can actually come up with over the next year, and whether they are intelligent enough to market their products to the right people. I'm betting on it, but now with a very small percentage of my portfolio.>

Well, yeah, this is what AMD needs to do in order to gain market share without dropping prices. Funny how you call it a "wild card," since this is a long way from the "victory is guaranteed" view that many people once held (and some people still hold).
