keith..."if you gotta own" value/growth...growth/value....sub 30pe techs....most are a good deal off low of the year.... too much emphasis paid on indices...they are not monolithic and are heavily weighted...all stocks don't bottom at the same time, let alone start to rebound in unison....some will never recover, others will lead....consolidation will occur, with the strong buying the smaller strong, who by the vagaries of the market have a diminished market cap.... look to the proven and tangible, the esoteric won't make it in the real world...if a concept couldn't turn a profit in the best of times, they won't survive in worse times... basic business...nothing new, although the past few years lead many to believe companies could grow without making a penny...
