Have to admit you have to be sad even if you are making money on the short side. I don't want CSCO to move down this low, I'm not a shorter to the end. I'm a staunch advocate of the long opportunities we had in the past decade. After doing so well in the Israeli stocks and missing the downfall there, I feel the same as I felt when those stocks just died one by one. Companies I've held since college sliced and diced. I wasn't actively involved until 1992 in the American market so I missed some of the bad times but its been uphill until the backdown of the oil service sector which was my debut into the full time trading arena. After the internet sector collapsed and I got lucky and saved 250k potential loss in NTBK a DAY BEFORE it collapsed. I didn't have that much invested at first, that stock built up and up and up and I didn't sell till one Tuesday morning before NTBK came down like it imploded. I learned to keep emotions in check and keep a distance.
