I don't think the Fed cares much about the Nasdaq. Why should they act to prop up stocks with p/e so far above historical norms. (One might ask if prices are declining faster than earnings--looks like a close race to me.)

The Fed is watching multiple sources of government and private data on economic growth and unemployment. They aren't getting their data from network reporters and stock analysts. But Fed members are obviously watching the data closely and have seen some signs of slowing.
