James, you are absolutely correct. There is something seriously wrong with the market. I think the problem is that everyone has realized that we are deaccelerating too fast. When companies like MSFT start missing numbers, things are pretty bad.

The market needs HOPE that the economy will turn around. That hope doesn't exist right now. The market now believes that by Jan end, it will be too late to do anything.

James I think AG is the worst CB ever, he is to chicken and his gradualism always comes to late and to little.

I think he failed to warn about the bubble in the first place and continued to pump money as there was no tomorrow due to fear of 2k or the pretense of.

He got en-armored with the "New Economy" BS and productivity gains which were mostly bogus and now the stock market got him and his fellows bankers with his pants down.

He should have gone neutral in October and ease in November 1/4 point and now the second.
