Ken, I agree, The COMPX is "only" at the break-out of the bubble in the week of Nov 99 AND
We have an economic down turn AND
How many of these companies have used earnings in their own portfolios to bolster their price AND
Is anyone still around from the days of what they called "High Interest Rates" like high teens - 20s. I remember sitting at a sales meeting at a building we had just finished (60 unit mid rise), Said we'll never see prime at 10 - 12 again.
Listening to all this stuff about rates. BULL !!!!
It's "Fundies Folkes", "Time for a reality check".
PEs above 40 - 50 (ya'd think they'd learn by now :)
INDU - 8,000. Why not ?? Hasn't even started
OEX - 500-600 - Same here !! Only 50% by 5 year.
SPX "could" go to 800 ++ and only be down 50% of it's `95 breakout. 200 day MA is around 1200, so a hard landing 4-6 months out could easily be 1000 level.
I'm neither Bull or Bear, I let the market tell me what to do. I try to stand on the outside and look in. For now, why catch falling knives. I didn't join the circus, well maybe I did :), but .... just some thoughts to mull over ..... It's been a good (Great) bull run.

Ken,

More and more people are beginning to agree with Frank than with you. No, he doesn't support the market, but his job is to make certain the economy doesn't tank because of high interest rates.
