Hi Steve Lee; Re "I spose to anybody not clicking on the links, your point was made."

LOL! So you still think that it takes 8 chips to make a DIMM??? Heck, by even bothering to click on those links you've proved that you don't know squat about memory.

I took the Samsung descriptions at face value from this link, and I don't doubt that it had typos, but (for all the mom and pops out there who might believe your silly suggestion) there are plenty of 4-chip SDRAM DIMMs from all kinds of manufacturers.
usa.samsungsemi.com

From this are you trying to imply that my point was not made. Heck, it's time for you to admit something. You said that SDRAM DIMMs require 8 or more chips in this link: #reply-13111432. Everybody knows that SDRAM chips are commonly available in x16 sizes, and everybody knows that it only takes four of them to produce a x64 DIMM. So why did you post otherwise?

Either you're a liar, or you don't know cr@p about the memory business.

So which is it? Are you a liar, or just boringly ignorant. Or are you going to continue to deny that SDRAM DIMMs need only 4 chips? My guess is that you don't know the first thing about the memory industry, (just like 99% of the other posters on this thread).

The basic problem I have with you is that you make pronouncements about the memory industry when you are unaware of even the most basic, simple, and unarguable facts. If you make money off your long term investments in this industry (as opposed to short term trading it), it is undoubtedly due to a combination of the secular bull market and luck. Go find a mutual fund. Or explain why it is that you don't know how many chips go on a DIMM.
