These events are tarnishing J6P opinion of Greenjeans. Until now Greenjeans was untouchable. The process of him going from hero to goat gives Bush cover to replace him using zero political capital and there is nothing the shrub family would like better. Brush off your resume' Heinz applications are now being taken.

Maybe that's why Busch was smiling so much after the Greenspan meeting. They have something in common. Both want the speculative bubble popped. I've got to believe Busch has important people telling him shit is about to hit the fan and it's best if the market goes before he takes office (I'm one that believes Busch surrounds himself with people smarter than him, kind of the opposite of know it all Gore). Greenspan has been obsessed with the thing for years and this was probably the first time he got the go ahead in some sort of way. If the Naz keeps tanking into Busch taking office with clear evidence of the economy slowing, he would remove at least some of the Hoover effect. He could blame it on Greenspan and J6P might want to re-elect him in 4 years. It's about his only hope in 4 years. The last thing he wants to do is preserve the Naz until he takes office, because I'm sure he knows it's due to collapse sometime during his term, better for it to happen before he steps in.
