Elmer, AMD has just released new SPEC scores and the 1.2GHz Athlon has just about pulled even with the 1GHz P3 in INT scores. It still trails the Dell offering by about 2.5% even though the Athlon runs at 200MHz higher, but at least they are trying. For FP, the 1.2 GHz Athlon now edges out the 1GHz P3 by about 10% with a 20% higher clock rate. AMD is making progress but only compared to P3. They are still far behind P4. Cool. Intel has a great compiler team. Too bad their CPU design team isn't as good. BTW: I picked up my PIII system this afternoon. Scumbria
