The cloud over his presidency is one of his own making.

I hope you got an umbrella.........

Looks like a failed and misdirected strategy for Gore, since the contest was not for the popular vote, but for the electoral vote. In the end, we're better served by the man that can understand that rather simple concept...

Where are you getting your 540,000 number? Haven't seen that elsewhere. Also, what about the million + undervote nationwide that hasn't been hand-counted? Then there are about the million + absentee ballots that haven't been machine or hand counted. We need to consider them, too. There's also a question about St. Louis, MO polls in heavily Democrat precincts that were held open late, even after a federal appeals court overturned a local federal judge, and the voting machine found the next morning by St. Louis police abandoned in an empty lot, all probably delivering Gore lots of votes as well as Ashcroft's Senate seat to the Democrats; and there remains the question of homeless people in one or more jurisdictions who were rounded up and paid with cigarettes to go to the polls and vote for Gore. Finally, what about the 20,000 estimated Bush advantage in the Florida Panhandle if the media hadn't called the election before the polls closed, the Florida absentee ballots that still have not been added into the final tally, and the voting machine found in a Florida Democrat official's trunk after the election? I'm sure I've missed some more in here somewhere... the history of Democrat voter fraud in this country is legendary.
