i have SOFN on my watchlist.....

but now that nasdaq broke down under 2523.....all stocks under 2 will likely go under 1......and all stocks near 1 will likely go to 50 cents or under......

this market will either churn here between 2000 and 2600 for sometime......slowly dragging the cheap ones down more.....

or we are in for a monster capitulation day......where as money will run to the bigger stocks that are insane bargains .....thus leaving the cheap ones left to die......and dragging the prices lower......

best news for these cheap stocks is this......only 7-more trading days left and tax sellers should be gone......then you can look for the january effect and hope that if you bought high you can get out on the pump......

and just remember......wherever they bottom the first time.....they will revisit that bottom again before they do run for good......

regards

at quick glance SOFN balance sheet looks great...good work finding it. i just bought 7500 shs of TMNT at 9/16 and have a limit to buy another 9000 at 1/4, in case it amazingly drops there. TMNT is ripe for strategic action at this level

-Why do you think SOFN Softnet Systems will become profitable?

- Given their net sales of only $8.6 mill; massive losses; shedding of busines lines; etc..

- also, why no 10K filed?

John - thanks for SOFN - it looks good:

As of 6/30/00's finl's:

- $160 mill free & clear cash & equiv; includng a/r
- 25.3 mill shs
- about $6.25/cash value
- trading around $1.75/share
- disposed of unprofitable lines of business
- SoftNet Systems, Inc. is a provider of high-speed Internet access over cable lines primarily to exurban markets
- so they may become profitable; & along the way, may even get bought out unless the stock price comes back up to at least cash levels
