Jim,

re: <Thanks, OTOH, Paul said they were MIA and he's always right...>

Have you noticed how fast the sdram prices have been falling? 256MB PC133 SDRAMs are going at the prices that 64MB PC133 SDRAMS used to go five to six weeks back. I placed an order for two 128 PC150 Cas2 SDRAMs for $77each two days ago.

Regarding the SIS730 based mother board that Dan mentioned, I could have had two of them at $59 each on ebay if I had not read Anand's review on that chipset just before the close of that auction. Instead I ordered two epox 8kta+ MBs.

A couple of months late, but there is a lot of stuff falling into place for AMD. There are now about seven vendors listing Gigabyte DDR boards at pricewatch (search by "AMD DDR"). About three vendors listed ALI magic boards (search by "KA266"). SIS730 boards are showing up at ebay, and SD shops. I hope DDR SDRAM prices also would come down in line with their SDRAM counterparts so that DDR systems can become more prevalent in Q1'01.
