Janney report is interesting. One question that it didn't even try to answer is "what is the value of it's private portfolio ?" It makes me very skeptical to see an analyst report which throws out a valuation figure that incorporates "carrying value for private portfolio". Why is this ? If this guy has his sh*t together, he ought to be able to estimate the actual value of the private portfolio. Clearly the market is saying it's worth near zero, which might not be too far from the truth. I don't know anything about the companies mentioned in the report.....Do any of them generate earnings ? revenues ? Can anybody shed some light on the value of some of these companies ? Or are they just cash burning dreams of a chairman drunk at the possibility of dot com wealth ? Rick.
