meat...."confident ceo's"

i'm the last person that would confuse postings from thread zealots....

only have to read "direct from dell"....it tells it all, about the ego of the ceo.....not one mention or credit to the creators of his business model....and the business schools lauded with the belief that dell created anew...

the dell bto/jit model was not a world changing henry ford/production line model, but more of an application of the toyota kanban model (which was world changing) to a different industry.

a ceo and his company should strive for perfection, but that in the real world is an internal perfection....when one acts perfect and always claims that all beyond him is flawed, then it sets up a scenario of criticism should he stumble....

good company, profitable, approaching a value point, but if it stumbles will be punished much harder then peers, by the equity markets.

the model claimed to be perfect is less then perfect, i've voiced this based on living for twenty years with this model.....

reality has set in...."nothing beats a man like overconfidence"
