Thank you, SAF. Mr. Moto makes a critical discernment, I believe, by explaining the net of the outright purchases is not his primary concern.

The net figure, which is displayed in the Fed's regular accounting of their open market activity, belies the genuine impact of their policy conduct. Well, you can see Moto's own words on this subject in a Late Note to his last commentary. piraz.com

I wonder whether the person that precipitated Moto's note wasn't Jim Grant in his latest issue, declaring the Fed has added liquidity only grudgingly.

I think Jim's going to have to get up pretty early in the morning to get one by Motosan.
