LOL, love the grieving stages link!

I dunno, I'd say we're still in the "shock and denial" phase. I've seen many newbie clowns at various Xmas parties lately...when the conversation turns to the POS stocks they're buried in...these goofs actually believe that the crap will rise again and "make them well." When I suggest just cutting their losses and move on, they accuse me of blasphemy...and as you know, when I mention words like "valuations" and "fundamentals," they get that blank look on their face, as if I was speaking Mandarin Chinese. Of course, these are the same guys who, at last year's Xmas parties, told me I was a dufus for not jumping onto the dot-com bandwagon with both feet.

In addition, my broker buddies--who should know better--are also in serious denial. Talked to two of them this afternoon, and they were both doing a great Kudlow imitation. I remember really admiring these guys when I worked with them for their savvy analysis skills...but obviously the bull mania of the last few years has caused them to "dumb down." Phrases like, "Cisco CAN'T go any lower than this..." and "well, my clients are pissed, but this stuff will come back--it always does, right?" come up a lot. It's sad...like I said, these guys used to be sharp operators in the market.
