You're quite welcome. It was a historic occasion -- perhaps the first time ever that the Court issued an opinion outside of working hourse -- so I'm willing to have lost the bet to be part of it.

And, of course, that it was the right decision makes it that much easier to take!

Did you see that the papers are claiming that there were enough votes for Gore in Lake County to put Gore over the top, even though Lake went for Bush? The explanation was interesting -- the Dems have a high proportion of semi-illiterate or illiterate voters, non-English speakers, and first time voters (not to mention felons) who tend to make more ballot mistakes.

These are the people we should look to select the next President of the United States??
