On the 1/2 time length, I'm talking regular bull vs. bear cycle, not secular. I think the secular trends tend to last about the same amount of time. So, if the secular bull began in 1982, and lasted till the beginning of 2000, a 16-18 year secular bear trend should be about right. <g>

Of course there will be many bullish cycles within the secular trend, and according to my estimates, one should begin soon. It should be sold, but not for a few months.
