This is true. The one that bothers me the most is Etoys. That is/was a well run company with good people backing it.

If I had anything to say about it which I don't, I would prefer to see them survive and Toys R Us along with Amazon fail sooner.Once Toys R Us joined up with Amazon I looked at their management and came to the conclusion their ethics are no better than that of the management of Amazon.

This is all an opinion of course and only implies that in my opinion Amazon's management and that of Toys R Us are lacking ethics.

You point is correct. There were good people involved with good firms that burned through tons of cash right away because someone convinced them that the winner was the first to market.
