Fear that the populace will view appointees such as Colin Powell and C. Rice as minorities who are as diverse in thought as they in color. Fear that GWB's platform will actually work, fear that the typical democrat constituency will finally realize their own worst enemy are the Democrats who purport to represent their interests. Fear their constituency will finally realize that economic success lies in their own hands and is not the result of liberal beneficence. Fear that a good and honest man may wn the hearts, souls and prayers of the citizens much as a predecessor did 20 years ago. They will spin anything, look for any chink. They are in a battle and they know it.
