As the theatre-viewer/video-game-player, you would admit that some things do not get routed to you for control. For example, when the doctor taps you on the knee with a hammer, your leg kicks. You did not use your GameBoy controller to affect this. But some actions, such as clicking on the "Respond" link in SI, are volitional acts initiated by you and your GameBoy controller.

But there is a growing body of evidence that is inconsistent with this model. For example, it has been shown that neurologically, your brain creates a readiness potential about 150ms prior to your volitional decision to act. This would imply that time-travel is one of the traits of you as a theatre-viewer.

Does your model accomodate experiments such as these? How?
