"Options activity following the outcome of yesterday's Federal Reserve Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting is not exactly indicating extremely bearish sentiment. In fact, the composite put/call ratio of all five options exchanges currently stands at a very low reading of 0.54, despite the fact that both the S&P 500 Index (SPX) and the Nasdaq Composite (COMP) are trading at new 52-week lows. Delving further into the numbers, a total of 1,129,754 call contracts have changed hands versus 615,136 put contracts."
