Here is a safe play. ASO (bank stock)
It pays about 6% a year in dividends.
You wont make a lot of money but it is safe.

I think each person has different investment criteria, risk aversion, and horizon to deal with. You have to do what's best for you. For me... I think too late for bonds, I'll be adding when the market stabilizes.. until then I'm trading.
