The Fed has spent the last 18 months working to slow the economy down.

Why has Bush been talking about stimulating the economy? The obvious result would be higher interest rates.


I'm not so sure the result would be higher rates but it may reduce the amount of rate reduction next year. If such a taxcut would be persistant I would accept a temporary higher rate if it is the cost.

Bush shooting his mouth off this weekend already cost us one Fed rate cut.

No it has not.
