If you're looking at buying LEAPS, make sure you understand the puts.

Dell LEAPS
The 03-20s are very attractive. At 5-1/2 or so you have 24 months to write covered calls on them. I made 13/16 net profit on the Jan25s last week in two days. If you will check history on Dell you will find that you can always sell calls at $1.25 or $1.50 two or three strikes out of the money out 1 or 2 months. That will retire your premium on the LEAPS pretty quickly. After that it's all gravy.
The plus side here is that any actual appreciation on the stock is just found money and I feel safe in saying that Dell will recover nicely over the next 2 years.
