Oh, now that was an intelligent post, S.O.
You are awfully quick to use a method of communication
provided by "nerds" to bag on them. If it weren't
for these "nerds", you wouldn't be able to distribute
your ridiculously asinine opinions to so many people.

So, quit being jealous of their high salaries and get
back to your job. I think those burgers need to be
flipped.

Stockoperator," ridiculously high salaries are squashed ".

I don't know about that but my 24yo son, CS major, was just offered
a $90,000+ Technical sales job ast INTC 2 weeks ago.
No slow growth there.
He is interviewing with MSFT and I am certain he'll get a nice offer.

It appears however he will take a job with a
major Swiss Bank/Broker as a Nasdaq trader because
of his dual BSEcon degree and the cash:
In 3 years he'll be making more than a surgeon...
Let the good times roll.

My younger son has just been offered a $170,000 4 year full
scholarship in Engineering by Olin University.

I am amazed at the gloom and doom with some on this thread.

CSCO might have been overpriced at $80.

But at $38, CSCO is a screaming buy,

I hope the techies understand that this ends when their job-hopping ways and ridiculously high salaries are sqaushed.

The financiers and laws of economics rule the day once again.

Techies will once again be relgated to the plastic on the glasses nerd herd.

I respectfully couldn't disagree more.

We have a huge shortage of EE's and skilled techs in this country.

It's about supply and demand. That's why there has been so much pressure to up the Visa allotments to immigrants.

That's why wages have risen so far.

The Dot Com bubble has virtually no affect on this demand.
