Jim,

You know as well as me that the market tanked after the Fed raised interest rates too many times in too short a period of time.

Blaming it on Clinton is mindless.

PS...talk to me about Bush after Jan 20. That's when his term starts.

Funny, Jim. So the month worth of blather about it all being Gore's fault is inoperative now? And that 500 point NAZ rally that was allegedly due to Bush wasn't really, I guess? I assume, actually, that given proper McMannis regression treatment, the 500 points was really, truly due to Bush but the 600+ points given back since then is indisputably somebody else's fault.

Why is market anticipation such a difficult concept? Is it that engineers operate only in absolute cause and effect?

You know who wrote that, Jim? Somehow, I get the feeling that the author of that little snip is willing to tap out just about any nonsense that comes to mind, if it seems to reflect well on the holy W, and badly on somebody else. Somehow, I think the author's analysis should be heavily discounted.

Jim,

His term does not start 20 Jan because he did not win. He is a standin until the next election in 2004.
