Hitsoft, we agree more than you think. I don't doubt the Fed will try to support at the markets at some point, but it's not his primary focus. In fact he's probably enjoying this a little knowing the speculators are getting their asses handed back to them on silver platter that was bought using a credit card at 19% interest.

Where I disagree is the speed of any recovery and the methods available to the Fed to stop the flow of blood.

Individual stocks have been down this far before, but never the market as a whole - or least that's the way it seems to so many newbie tech investors. From this kind of carnage so many will sell into the rallies (if there are any) just to get even and get the hell out. Regardless of fundamentals there is so much technical damage that it can't be undone quickly. And as many are learning consumer spending and the Nasdaq are closely related.

OT - I don't know how or why but I was able to pick up more HM Feb 5's for 3/8's today.

Sorry but I haven't found anything else even close to DNR. Can't believe that gem was just laying out there waiting to be picked up. It is still a phenomenal deal at current price.

Oops! Sorry hitsoft17! Post was meant as a response to Tommaso.
