You forgot to take into account the E-U-R-O in your analysis. You mean the E.conomically challenged, U.p to the @sses in social liabilities, R.eally disunified confederation of disparate people and policies suffering from an O.vertaxed population, that is currently down 25% from its inception? Now you have to ask yourself why you would have the same faith in the financial representative of a group of independent nation-states who can't even agree on the time of day...., let alone continental economic policy. I suggest you look back at early US history, specifically under the Article of Confederation. Check out how our economy faired under such a system. And then ask yourself why the French as so concerned about the Germans dominating the EEC... and the petty political competition and conspiracies that creates. These guys couldn't even deal with a war in their backyards, namely Bosnia/Yugoslavia.
