do people understand that even if PC sales flatline, that is stay, they stay the same and do not grow, what they put INSIDE the machines can and will change and as PC makers come under pressure to provide more for less....CD-RW and DVD will not be premium add-ons but rather come stock or be seen as minimum. Those kinds of pressures could lead PC makers to decrease margins but higher volume should make up for the decreasing profit margins. That said, even in a market that is totally stagnated in PC sales Elantec could GROW earnings in the PC sector. + with DVD increasingly becoming the standard for video that market is literally in its infancy not to metion RECORDING DVDs.

As our friends in software develop more products that chew up broadband, new PCs will have to be bought to support the new applications. This is barely speculation if you start doing some real speculation and factor in VOD and other developments Elantec's future is even brighter. I am in at 41 and think that we could see more short term volatility, if we hit 20 or break 20 I will be buying to average down. OR if we start moving in the right direction I will probably buy again.

What do you know about the possibilty of a split and where can I get more info on that. I wish I could get even a rough estimate on the size of DVD Recordable market. What other companies are you watching? Do you ever check out ragingbull? Those folks seem to be more dreamy than anything but still a good place to hang to read pump posts.
